In this article you can read how to add participants individually and also how to upload multiple participants simultaneously.
It is possible to add individual participants one by one. Go to participants and add one participant via the 'add participant' option located just above the 'upload spreadsheet' option.
If you would like to upload many participants it might be easier to upload a spreadsheet. You can use an already provided template or you can use your own template.
Note! There are some limitations to using your own template.
- Column title (first name, last name): should be in the first row
- Column orders: Make sure there are no empty column(s) in between column titles.
- Uploading date fields: use cell format text (instead of date or numeric) and date structure: YYYY-MM-DD
- Email address is required
Once you have uploaded participants into the system, you will be asked to map the fields in your excel sheet, with your participant fields set in Azavista.
Then the system will check for duplicates and you can confirm the final participants for import. The participant dashboard will change and you will see the number of new participants in the system.
Note! If there is a problem with uploading an excel sheet and you get the following message: "This file extension is not allowed. Please use files with a similar format as the templates on the right", convert your .xlsx. file into .xls and try to re-upload it.
