This feature allows planners to link a group block to an activity. This way participants do not have to be manually assigned to a group block after they have signed up for the corresponding activity.
For example: In my event I have an optional activity "Gala Dinner" associated to a restaurant list called "Dinner at the Hilton". When participant John Doe registers and signs up for the "Gala Dinner" activity, he will be automatically put in the "Dinner at the Hilton" group block.
Create the group block.
Create an activity and associate it with the group block that you have just created.
Now whenever a participant signs up for the activity you created in step 2 (s)he will be automatically assigned to the group block.
Final important information
- If you change the corresponding group block for an activity but some participants have already been placed in a group block they will remain there and not move to a new group block. You will have to manually re-assign them.
- You can have two activities that point to the same group block. That will work.
